3 Takeaways from Getting Things Done by David Allen

Hello and welcome to Drawn to DIY!

Since today is the first Monday of the month, this post is part of a blog mini-series called 3 Takeaways where I share three insights from inspirational books, leaders, or podcasts.

Whether you've been following along since the first one back in July 2016 or if you've come across this series just today, I just want to say thank you!

My initial purpose for 3 Takeaways was to simply force myself to read more. I wanted to improve myself through continuous learning by committing to sharing one book per month. And guess what, it worked better than I expected!

While I've only shared eight posts under 3 Takeaways so far, I've read far more than eight books since then, been inspired by dozens of thought-leaders, and most importantly, developed learning as a habit.

For this reason, I started a second blog last month called Productive and Free where I share actionable tips, resources, and inspiration on productivity and effectiveness. You'll find comprehensive articles about setting and accomplishing goals, achieving more with less, and being free to pursue your passions.

And so, beginning this month, all new 3 Takeaways posts will be shared there.

In case you're interested as to why I am now managing two different blogs, I explain it all here.

Thanks so much for following along!
